The texturing in the images is a consequence of increasing the frequency with which the wave motif rotates with respect to the underlying Lissajous curve frequencies. One needs to do a fair amount of experimentation (and use a lot of computer time) in order to find the right balance. I am less pleased with the colour balance in these images - rather too strong and unsubtle. I could play around with this in a photographic image manipulation tool, such as GIMP, but have not got round to it yet.
